Review: Little Italy – Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad

My Rating :StarStarStar (3 out of 5)

After coming from Chennai, we wanted to visit a good Italian restaurant in Hyd. We missed La Focaccia Restaurant. It’s a small restaurant with some nice dishes. Friends suggested a few good ones and finally I took some time to visit the most suggested one “Little Italy” in Jubilee Hills.

We visited on 11-Nov-2012. We tried starters-spl crostini, pasta, crocchette, Mexican rice, mock tail-chiller.

Pasta is heavenly and I would pay even more for the quality. crostini is okay. Veggies served for crocchette is good but not sufficient. Mexican rice is okay. I didn't like Chiller at all but my wife found it to be just okay.

Second course has an exorbitant price tag esp. given the servings and okay taste.

I saw a wise group come and eat Pasta and a cold drink and leave.

Ambience is not good and seating is not at all comfortable for a long evening.

I don't know how many people care about this but i want to mention it here. Its about the awareness rather than cribbing. Service tax should be calculated only on service charges and should not include other amounts. But unfortunately, most restaurants in the city charge way more and Little Italy is no exception. I request them to charge correct amount. In my case, service charge is Rs:79/- approx. and service tax is Rs: 78/- approx..
