Review: Little Italy – Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad

My Rating :StarStarStar (3 out of 5)

After coming from Chennai, we wanted to visit a good Italian restaurant in Hyd. We missed La Focaccia Restaurant. It’s a small restaurant with some nice dishes. Friends suggested a few good ones and finally I took some time to visit the most suggested one “Little Italy” in Jubilee Hills.

We visited on 11-Nov-2012. We tried starters-spl crostini, pasta, crocchette, Mexican rice, mock tail-chiller.

Pasta is heavenly and I would pay even more for the quality. crostini is okay. Veggies served for crocchette is good but not sufficient. Mexican rice is okay. I didn't like Chiller at all but my wife found it to be just okay.

Second course has an exorbitant price tag esp. given the servings and okay taste.

I saw a wise group come and eat Pasta and a cold drink and leave.

Ambience is not good and seating is not at all comfortable for a long evening.

I don't know how many people care about this but i want to mention it here. Its about the awareness rather than cribbing. Service tax should be calculated only on service charges and should not include other amounts. But unfortunately, most restaurants in the city charge way more and Little Italy is no exception. I request them to charge correct amount. In my case, service charge is Rs:79/- approx. and service tax is Rs: 78/- approx..

Duplicate messages received by BizTalk

I recently witnessed an issue with AIF in Dynamics AX 2009. The system uses BizTalk adapter to send messages to a subsystem. It was working fine till recently. All of a sudden, we found that BizTalk is receiving multiple messages for each message sent out of AIF.

Here are the symptoms:
  • Send messages out of AX using AIF
  • Message is successfully sent out and can be seen in document history
  • After that, message stays in AIF Queue manager for 10-15 minutes
  • In these 10-15 minutes, BizTalk receives the same message multiple times(5-12 times)
What we tried:
  • Running AIF receive/send related 4 classes using a job
  • Tweaking AIF global settings (disable caching etc)
  • Restart AOSes (its a clustered environment)
  • shut down one AOS and one BizTalk instance
  • No luck after all the above
Here is the solution proposed by MS support:
  • Create a new configuration and restart AOS and BizTalk
  • Duplicate issue is resolved
  • We reverted to the original configuration but Duplicate issue didn't arise
I suspect some where sessions/previous Business connection session information is stuck and the new configuration cleared it up.

Dynamics AX 2009 BizTalk Adapter issue

When ever we change AIF configuration in DAX 2009, we refresh services and sometimes restart AOS to refresh business connector sessions.

However, recently we found that we need to restart BizTalk host instances as well. We never had this issue before. It looks like this is an adhoc issue.

New guest in my balcony...

Now a days, Sparrows are a rare sight. A few days back, we spotted a cute female sparrow in our balcony. It is playing with the mirror. Is it admiring its own beauty or wondering about the other sparrow in the mirror mimicing his acts? See for yourself...
